Hi all, I hope that this is an appropriate place to post, and I apologies if it is not.
I need some advice regarding right of ways in back gardens.
Our neighbour has a right of way to cross our back garden to get to the alleyway onto the street from her back door.
Last year we had the uneven and cracked concrete in our garden removed and replaced with stone slabs. There was always a step from their garden into ours, which has now increased by around 2 inches.
My question is, did I need planning permission to re-pave my garden? They still have access to my garden and walk across.
She is threatening to contact the council, but this is all a bit of an unknown to me.
I've a attached a photo to you give you an idea (photo taken from our side of course). The step was about 4-5 inches tall prior to our slabs being added.
Thank you!
