Hi all,
Some of you may find this as interesting as I do. Not long after moving into our new home I managed to get hold of the original building control plans from our local record office, submitted in Nov 1911. I suspect that would mean the house was built in 1912/13.
The property has been liveable from day one but has needed modernisation, whilst being sympathetic to the period features and fabric.
Not a lot has changed in the internal layout from the original plans. The front bedroom has been split into two, the bathroom has been slightly extended into the back bedroom and the previous owners decided that they no longer needed a coal shed(!) or larder so this is a small utility room now.
So far we've had a very happy yet busy 11 months with plenty more left to do!
