with felt support trays regularly come across so called roofing experts who fit felt support trays incorrectly fitting them on top of the under felt rather than below directing any water getting under the tiles into the property rather than the gutter & an other great one they do is have the trays laying back the way rather than angled down the roof towards the gutter allowing water to drip of the end of the trays into the property creating damp, its very soul destroying at times to inform someone who has spent thousands on there roof done by a so called expert usually recommended by a friend that what they have done is the reason for there current dampness issues
on a tiled roof whether that be clay or concrete retro fitting them is straight forward, on a slate roof retro fitting then creates a weakness in the roof as you cannot nail your top slate into place & can only use a tie this will lead to a row of un nailed slates across your new roof creating a weakness in the roof covering

Sorry I know this thread is from a while ago but we're currently trying to find a dry ridge kit that is compatible with our original rolltop ridge tiles (pic attached). Can I ask what dry ridge kit you ended up using?

If you see here.... It does not seem very compatible to me... We will see tomorrow! Shouldn't be an issue getting the right kit if needed.
Maybe one goes each side... I don't know.

The official kit seems to have plastic thingies... May well end up needing it.
your screw & fixings are only really designed to hold the ridge tile in place any wind should be able to flow over/under the ridge tile without dislodging it, you will need only 1 fixing screwed into each end of the ridge tile as shown in the attachment 12323above
sorry just noticed this your felt should not be in the gutter it should have felt support trays into the gutter & the membrane should be clear of the gutter finishing on the felt support trays under the first tile
