I've been a lurker on this forum for a long time and have finally made an account!
My partner and I are fully renovating our Victorian property and have been doing most of it ourselves. The only thing is that since we both have full time jobs the progress has been quite slow and we were looking at potentially getting in some builders to help. A lot that we've spoken to either seem to have very questionable ideas, or do not have any experience working with lime. We've also unfortunately had our fair share of dodgy builders so are very careful with who we get in now.
We'd like someone who is able to help rebuild the parts of the walls where the chimney breasts used to be (previous builders just stacked the bricks back up loosely and covered in plaster which was a great find) and to also help sand and repoint the bricks on the outside (it was covered in pebbledash which we have now removed).
Just want to add this is such a great forum and so relieving to see that we're not alone in the "surprises" we keep finding!
