Claypaint over fresh limewash

Hi - I’ve lime washed our 1930s lime plaster but after two coats it’s barely made a dent in coverage and I’ve decided to go with Claypaint instead from Fenwick and Tilbrook. The last coat of limewash was two weeks ago. The walls do leave a dust when I wipe my fingers on it. They said to brush down before painting in clay. After brushing I’ve still got the light dust… i really don’t want to waste even more money. Will the Claypaint adhere ok? What are your thoughts?

Reckon it’ll be fine, did two coats of limewash then Earthborn clay paint on top in a couple of our rooms and all was fine.

Don’t know how thick F&T clay paint is though, might be worth thinning down the first coat

I used Fenwick & Tilbrook clay paint on my bathroom external wall and it was fine, it needed about 4 or 5 coats though if memory serves (fresh plaster).

They have quite an extensive range of colours to choose from.

I have used Earthborn claypaint over limewash and it is fine. One coat never seemed right and I found it quicker to do two coats than try to get coverage with one.
