EARLY VICTORIAN?

Hi everyone, we're buying this property in Market Drayton and I'm trying to get a more accurate likely date for it. Our assumption is early Victorian from the construction/bricks, but what is the actual name of the brick detailing under the eaves at the top? I know of dog tooth, but this is more linear showing the end of the brick. Many thanks, Mark

Very similar to canal architecture so perhaps late 18th/early 19th century. Whenever I see that sort of corbelling it reminds me of all the buildings I've seen from canal trips in the Midlands. Pretty sure dogs tooth corbelling shows the corners of the bricks rather than the faces, so we could be looking for another name!

Many thanks. Yes, dog tooth is the corner of the brick. It's quite possible there is a connection to the canals as that is about 5 mins drive away.

Dentils. They seem to be attached to a fascia board so could be wood rather than brick.
