Hi there and thanks in anticipation
as part of refurbishing a victorian conversion flat I removed the boarding in a chimney breast and behind it is a lovely original fireplace.
only issue is that in removing the boarding it has pulled off a bit of paint and a small bit of the fireplace surround. See photos attached. I don't know what the surround is made of I suspect it is some sort of soft stone (sandstone?) or plaster.
I assume I need to use some sort of filler to replace/make the section square/flat again with 90 degree corner then can paint over till level with current paint layer then paint the whole surround
please can you advise if this is right (or if not advise me what to do) and what sort of filler to use?
Thanks a lot
David
