Flexim Roof putty

Hi all

Just wondering if anyone has used this product?

Its Dutch and called Flexim.

Its made of largely natural ingredients - mainly linseed oil. Whilst intended as an alternative to mortar on roofs it can be used for many other applications like filling holes, making good around services, and windows perhaps. I haven't found any claim that its breathable, but I think I might get some and try it as I've got a rather awkward soil pipe hole to fill. It could be useful when lime mortar just is just too awkward or not desirable.

Unlikely to be as breathable as lime mortar. Forms a partially crosslinked polymer which is partially waterproof. I guess if it remains permanently flexible it must contain inhibitors to stop the oil from naturally curing. I would guess like most drying (conversion) oil products it goes hard on the surface yet remains chewy in the centre for quite a while. If it is breathable then ipso facto air can get to the centre and eventually it will harden all the way through. So either it is permanently flexible OR breathable, it couldn't be both. Looks like a handy alternative though.
