Perhaps it's just 'forum fatigue' but I notice that FF has not been here since the end of October.
I did send him a PM a couple of weeks ago, but as yet no reply. No particular reason, just wondering how he is.

Anyone happen to know anything?

No, 'fraid not. A lot of long term posters seem to have dropped off. Mind you, I disappeared for a while and then came back.

I've not been in contact with him for a good while. I'll try to speak to him tomorrow and, depending on his response, get back to you both.

Is been decidedly quiet around the forum for quite a while now and I, for one, had put that down to the desire for the return to normal for many/most - though perhaps that is very much a new normal for some. Speaking for myself, I have been beset in recent months by both expected and unexpected events and activities that diverted my attentions - including the birth of my first and only grand-child - more about the others in later posts.

Hopefully FF has been similarly distracted and will soon return to the fold.

Things generally tail off a bit as the weather improves as well.

Sadly we are no longer in our period place so not much for me to post on these days

I was wondering if anyone heard how FF was? Does seem a long time since he was around. I was missing for a while, only had time to dip in and read things occasionally. House project is winding down into maintenance now, just a man-cave to finish and one casual sitting room, so I hope to pop in here more often. It got me to wondering about some of the regulars from the Before Times

I had to look up what I thought was an apocalyptic movie reference. That's very apt.

I hope the regulars are OK and drift back. It was quiet here for a while but if new members with new projects hang around it should make it more interesting

It’s not just Period Property that has slowed down, our site on this side of the pond has slowed down to a post or two a week. three years ago it started slowing down. Many years ago we had so many active topics and folks discussing their old hone projects you could not keep up.
Maybe old homes aren’t a thing any more, yet every one likes to see them.

Sadly the other place seems to get a lot of traffic albeit over a few more specific groups; however, its not as friendly or useful and can be full of trolls.

Well, I'm humbled to discover I have my own forum topic and I thank you for your concern.

All I can say is that life can throw a curveball when you least expect it, but I'm back on my horse now and mixing metaphors with the best of them again
