Can’t say how happy I am to have come across this forum. My wife will now have a break from hearing about breathable materials.
By way of an introduction. We are buying a Carriage House & Stable Block near the Surrey Hills. The house dates back to around 1820 but we have heard various dates over the last few weeks.
It’s a beautiful house but definitely needs some love. It’s been knocked about over the years with some well dodgy flat roof extensions and has a pretty bad damp problem, along with knackered electrics, and about 900 other reasons not to buy it. But hopefully we have a gem.
I’ll keep you all posted and obviously ask loads of questions along the way
