Have 1904 limestone house and just replaced sash windows with new double glazing (wooden frames) Under windows is some wood panelling that is direct to the stone without insulation and now cold spot. Am thinking about putting polystyrene balls to fill gap but need to put expanding foam at bottom to stop them dropping through to the crawl space under the floor. Anyone have any concerns about doing that on all windows on all floors?
