Any bets on the Taylors transferring assets out of their Ate Farms vehicle to whom they sold it to and declaring bankruptcy and inability to comply?

It says notice was served on both the Taylors directly and indirectly through Ate farms. Odd.

Not sure how the conspiracy laws work here in the UK. The arsonists are liable for paying compensation but would probably plead poverty.

At least it's a start. Still amazed how unique and loved the building apparently was yet no one saw fit to get it listed.

Is it even physically possible to rebuild the pub as it was? How would it get through Building Control and how would it be subsequently insured? Am I missing something?

Also, is the 3 year window to comply the period by which it must be completed or just started?

That was my immediate thought as well. If a building was already listed and only partially damaged then I could see Building Control waving it through with the excuses of listing and being repaired. However there’s nothing left of this to repair! yes materials can be salvaged, but it’s going to be a new build really. I very much doubt it will happen at all for reasons Toby highlighted, no builder is going to undertake the project for philanthropic reasons and the owners won’t have, or will say they don’t have, the money.
