Why does stuff always breaks when you are in the middle of a job...
Sat down to machine a couple of small bits of aluminium to make some small clamps. Mill started to complain about running with a 7mm cutter, so switched it out for a 5mm one. Half way through, motor decides to go bang. Stripped it down, and the commutator has self destructed.
New motor is going to cost well over £200 plus shipping, plus import duties & tax. Likely to take over a month from California.

And if you stop doing whatever you've been doing then the breakages will stop too. There you go... a pristine but spider infested tool-box can be yours for no effort at all.

New motor (plus speed control) available in the UK for just £526+P&P. Not sure if they have stock.
New commutator for £5.09 (well, a pair of them), plus brushes for an extra £3.95. Would take about a week to ship from China.
Or do a brushless motor conversion (can get a motor & speed controller for under £100). But need a milling machine to make a new mounting bracket. On the plus side, it would be a lot more powerful than the wimpy little 60W originally fitted.

Perhaps I'll just sit here and watch the cat chase spiders crawling out of the tool chest and start drinking some of the wine from the cellar.

Do the brushless motor conversion! If you draw up the new bracket you can use someone like PCBWay to manufacture it and it arrives in the post a couple of days later, then you just have the fun bit of doing the swap over
