Patches under gutter & dampness in bedroom

Hi,

We've been under a period of heavy rain the last couple of weeks, and starting to see symptoms of damp / leaking in our front bedroom below the gutters, lined up with what was originally 2 dark patches on the outside.

I paid £350 for some roofers to come and fix what appeared to be cracked guttering and repoint areas around, and applied some fibreglass (?) sealant on it.

Two days later, I think I am noticing there's a third spot where water is trickling down. Am I overthinking and this is normal with heavy rain, or is it the case the work done by these roofers has resulted in water redirecting and leaking elsewhere?

For what it's worth, I have not yet noticed anything on the inside from where the third spot is, but I'm getting concerned and want to ensure no further damage is done. Is it worth me also trying to contact them again?

Stone gutters that would have been lined with lead (or asphalt) originally? Nice to look at, but any leaks in those on a solid wall are very likely to go inside.

If lead lined, how was thermal expansion handled originally? The link above mentions rubber joints between lengths in modern work that may fail before the lead does. It also mentions getting the whole lining replaced with these rubber joints added. A patch repair with fibreglass is likely to result in ponding, and that's exactly what you don't want that in that gutter.

Although a traditionalist, I would consider replacing the whole lining in fibreglass rather than lead with all the problems of thermal expansion, contraction and resultant cracking that lead would have.
