Period building damp surveyors for referral

Hi. I have been directing several people a month to Mr Boniface via his company website. I recently sent him an email asking if this is desirable, but have had no reply. Maybe I should check with my enquirers if they were able to get through.

Does anyone know of another good, reliable, damp and / or structural surveyor? My latest website is generating voluminous requests for advice and help and my knowledge of damp and structural issues is limited.

I sometimes send people here but that is more problematical, especially when the main site is down.

It would be nice to be able to recommend a really good surveyor as many are quite poor I think. Many thanks in advance.

FYI enquiries come from people nationwide but mostly in rural SE and I mean from Devon to Norfolk.

However, I've not had cause to use it myself. In fact, the only time I have ever had a surveyor report on an old house was one that I didn't buy (because he undervalued the end result to the extent that I couldn't get a mortgage). I used my own knowledge for this one and never regretted it.

Not used him myself but he seems to have a good reputation.
Sometimes appears to be a bit of a rabid dog against the PCA damp wallies and associated "experts" but when you hear some of the tales I can understand his position and applaud his battle.
He is York and London based, but travels and will also do phone consultations.

I've used Paul at https://www.abbeyis.com/ on every house we've bought - invaluable! Would not buy a house or do damp repair work without one of his reports.
He understands old houses and breathability and is very thorough (you get chemical analysis of the walls etc and a full list of recommendations).
He's always been happy to answer follow-up questions too.

He's based in the midlands but travels north and south.
