I was browsing the latest RHS Garden magazine on my commute today and came across this picture. I don't know where your London residence is your ladyship but this is in Islington on the corner of Ambler Road and Romilly Road. Odd how the one near the lamp post has a hairy back!

Thank you, those are wonderful, and if they are in Islinton then they are not very far from us I've not seen any topiary elephants in the UK, we missed these when they were on their tour, and Brad and Ange never invited us round when they rented the house that had them in the garden. I wonder if I could persuade the management committee to let us have some in the communal garden.

It's obviously an elderly male

This is a problem that those of advanced years are well aware of. Hair tends to migrate from its properly appointed location on top of the head, to reappear in all sorts of strange and unseemly places.
