Hi, we are asking Dartmoor National Park Authority to save a building that has fallen into serious disrepair - you can find out more here. We have a lot of signatures from circulating the petition in town but are looking for more to support our local councillor in his efforts to get the authority to take action. Apologies in advance if this is not the sort of thing that should be posted here.
Our own property is a 16th Century Listed butcher's shop next door in the town's historic centre. Morteronhampstead is the gateway to the high moor and is a key feature of annual cycle sport events etc as well as a much loved tourist destination. The town's old architecture deserves to be looked after!
