I'd appreciate some (more) advice re: lime plastering and woodfibre board. So far, our plasterer has put on a scud coat, a level coat (both NHL2) and is now fitting the woodfibre board using board render and mechanical fixings.
Next step is the coat over the woodfibre board with the mesh. Is there absolutely a need to do another coat over this again as well as a skim coat or would a fine skim coat be sufficient? The material and labour costs with this job have been high and my plasterer was saying that three coats over the woodfibre seems excessive. Any opinions on this appreciated.
