Hi
I have just bought a house which has render on the outside, the surveyor said it all needs to come off and be replaced as it's cracked and letting water in, inside is also damp. I believe it's cement render and obviously not great for a Georgian property. Where the render was blown you can literally pull it off but underneath it has another layer which is stuck firm. I did have a little chip away at this layer as there was a crack and there seems to be bricks underneath that but as a novice renovator do I need to remove the solid layer? I've attached pictures in the hopes someone can advise me better than Google
thank you in advance
