Hi all,
We have outward opening leaded light windows with turnbuckles or wedge casement handles. The windows have metal hooks as stays. Is anybody aware of any way to retrofit a lock to these? Or any mechanism to secure the handle from rotating? I appreciate that a determined thief can just (almost) lean on the window and it will break. The only solution I can think of is to put a screw into the frame to stop the handle. The windows do have secondary glazing - but it is pretty ugly and obscures the windows - so we are secure(ish). So we were 'kicking the tyres' on securing the window (they are rarely/never opened) and using magneglaze/similar.
Interested in your thoughts. ....
