"Collect only" limits your market and reduces the amount you might get for it - I've paid peanuts for stuff that would have gone for £££ in the past because a seller wasn't prepared to ship..I'd then put it up on Ebay or Facebook Marketplace for collection only,
Hmmm ok interesting option. That means I’d have to move the beast out of the caravan myself though…"Collect only" limits your market and reduces the amount you might get for it - I've paid peanuts for stuff that would have gone for £££ in the past because a seller wasn't prepared to ship..
If you are able to strap it to a small pallet securely, there are freight companies out there offering next day (or 3 day) services - Costs quite a bit more than a simple parcel at the Post Office, but the weight limits are much more generous. Purchased a couple of large heavy items on ebay where the seller was happy to strap stuff on to a pallet, and then I organised someone like Pallet Line to collect. Worked out quite well for both of us. I got what I wanted, and the seller got a reasonable price.
