Hello
Just finished having the back of our house rerendered in lime and planning on painting it with Keim Soldalit (sol-silicate paint).
Most of the rendering was done without plastic beads except for the drips over the windows, ideally therefore I'd like to paint over these beads with the Soldalit
Contacting Keim they say none of their paints can be painted onto plastic.
Has anyone managed to successfully paint over plastic beads or similar with a sol-silicate paint potentially using a specific primer or intermediate paint?
My understanding of sol-silicate paint was that it's advantage over pure silicate paint was that it was able to mechanically bond to impermeable paints and so I was hoping this might be approaching what would be required for bonding to plastic if it is keyed a bit.
