Stock Cock Leak Temporary Repair Epoxy

Hi Folks,

I’ve got a leaky stopcock with a small drip on a neighbours house.

They are unable to have a full repair for a month as thier landlords are behaving like a *insert proverbial*

I m looking for the best putty, epoxy/ 2 pack mix that will allow me to create a seal around the leak until it can be done properly.

There’s a hell of a lot on the market but I’m looking for the best that’s designed to work on pressurised pipes.

I’ve come across JB Waterweld but is that the best out there?

Have you considered just temporarily shutting down the feed from the main line outdoors and then simply replacing the stop-cock internally? Its very easy to do if you can find the trap outdoors?

I’ve slathered LSX on the outside of a fitting as a temporary measure before but yep - Cubist has a good suggestion.

Worst case use duct tape and some cling film below the leak to direct it into a bucket as a temporary measure
