Victoria sandstone semi detached. When we moved in we repaired some joists with wet rot which were attributed to some leaking pipes which have been replaced. It’s a suspended timber floor with about 4ft from the earth to floorboards.
I’m monitoring moisture in the subfloor and relative humidity sits about 90% which seems high. Moisture readings in the joists are about 18-20%.
We have unimpeded airbricks at the front and back of the house. I’ve cleared a lot of rubbish from the subfloor space and cleared some debris around the airbricks.
Do I need to do anything else ? Humidity is high but I live in a wet place so perhaps that’s to be expected. How do I measure ventilation beyond just keeping an eye on the moisture in the joists ?
Thanks for any thoughts.
