Hope everyone is getting into the Christmas spirit. Proof positive that houses do eventually get finished, or at least slow their rate of falling apart for a while.
Our tree went up 1st December although convenience beat tradition as we finally succumbed to the lure of an artificial tree.
Our stalwart home grown tree that has survived 6 years of sitting in our living room every December and then been planted back out in the garden afterwards to recover finally got too tall for the house so was gracefully retired to a secluded corner of our local common.
I’ll pick up a small pot grown one in the Christmas Eve “everything must go” reductions and plant it out in the garden ready to take up the reins in a few years
Certainly not too early, once December comes anyway, not once Halloween finished!
The bigger the better here to hide those unfinished bits… out of shot: not a single wall plaster finished, one window still to be repaired and popped back in, the other decorated, 3 panels not yet rebuilt properly, a fireplace still to be restored and desperately waiting for a log burner, floor still to be grouted, doors would be helpful…
