I have visible rising damp on external walls and fire breast in kitchen. Walls have now been tanked (just patches) . Decide to lift old quarry tiles (was trying to save them) , then took up layer of bitumen and found stagnant pools of water and damp across whole floor. Left with a concrete floor that is now pretty much dried out after 48 hours. If I out a leveller down, and tiles back, will I end up with same problem. House has flooded about 10 years ago but don't know how long floor has been down. Was a leaky mains pipe by the stop clock which has been sorted. If it was damp, would the floor have dried so quick?
Thanks for any advice.
