Hello, looking for some advice on painting this sash window. After removing the paint you can see the bottom edge of the bottom sash has been damaged by water, but is not soft or rotten. I don’t think it needs any filler, but should I apply any wood hardener or preservative, or just paint (likely MSP Bedec).
