Saw this today - now I doubt it would ever be as good as the advert shows, and I certainly wouldn't pay £20 for the kit, but as an idea tyeing a big washer or a nut to the end of a bit of string and using a magnet to draw it across a ceiling or similar is probably worth a try, if draw rods cannot be easily used. Powerful neodymium magnets are cheap now. Another one to file away just in case for the future.

I've used compressed air to blow a ball of polythene tied to a rope through a pipe before now, as a draw cord.
