I have just had some new fiberous plaster cornice and ceiling roses delivered from victoriancornice.co.uk. I did buy a bag of the "fibrefix" adhesive that they sell but wondered if a more modern equivalent would be better (pu adhesive/no nails etc)?
I was quite surprised at just how heavy they are, I will be using screws where possible but they say these are purely to hold them in place whilst the adhesive goes off.
The room has been freshly plastered and I have sprayed the room with 3 coats of watered down emulsion (I would have rather waited until the cornice had been fitted but the other half insisted on seeing some progress)
Thoughts or experiences welcomed
Thanks, Craig
