No, I’m not talking about injectable damp proofing system salesmen, but garden visitors. I noticed some caterpillars on one of our shrubs, and thinking they would turn into lovely butterflies I left them munching. When I mentioned the situation to a keen gardening friend ( and long ago forum member actually ) she said they must be terminated immediately. They would not turn into lovely butterflies but would grow up to be an invasive Asian moth which is devastating the ancient topiaries and hedges of our historic houses. She said there was a RHS survey which is tracking them, and I duly filled it in. I hadn’t heard of this before https://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profile?PID=760
