Our house is finally devoid of builders and all our household shipments and storage have been delivered. In the course of dragging in all our boxes and crates the previously pristine paintwork got a few scuffs and dinks. Magic sponges have dealt with black marks, but in a few cases the paint was chipped off back to bare wood. They are only tiny bits, maybe a third of fingernail size. My question is can I just rub a bit of sandpaper over the spot and then use the same eggshell the decorators did? or should I put something on first and then the eggshell? Any wisdom much appreciated, I’m unschooled in the ways of commercial paint and wood
