Hi peeps, it’s been a long time. Glad to be back.
Question. We have an internal wood frame for a stone property. Unfortunately, it seems the laths/ wattle and daub was removed in the 1970s and we now have the infill of two pieces of plasterboard and a gap, with gypsum plaster over (done in that lovely ‘rustic’ cottage swirl). The noise reducing qualities between the rooms is nil. Would it be possible to fill the gaps without removing and replacing the plaster board (which is hellishly expensive at the mo, compared to 2 years ago)? Maybe with cellulose filler? Or really not a sensible idea due to weight etc. In which case we may need to remove one layer of plaster board and use roll insulation? Any ideas?
Many thanks.
