Anyone got a spare £700k and enjoys fishing?
""Requiring modernisation throughout" says the listing, but honestly I can't see a great deal wrong with it - a bit tired decoratively in places, I can personally emphasise with that!
Ludlow is a beautiful town - gardens down to the river and fishing rights sounds very pleasant.

Just the sort of crass listing that invites vandalism.
OK the stair runner arrgh, the rear lean-to is a bit sad, a fireplace needs opening up, the rads need replacing with cast iron... suchlike titivations.
But on the whole as you say it's just fine.
The upside of idiot agents such as this is that they have probably underpriced the house

Just had a look, I agree, why does it need modernizing? What it needs is a bit of age appropriate furnishings and a little bit of a sympathetic unmudling.

I think it needs "demodernisation" throughout. As a potential house buyer I find there is very little available that is apppealing, and the situation has got a lot worse even in the last 10 years.

What do you mean you don’t like perfect plasterboarded internal surfaces with 800 downlights in the ceiling?

Don't forget the 50+ shades of grey that everyone is slapping everywhere at the moment.

Doubt much fishing goes on there. Just because one has a steam or river on the boundary does not mean suitable for fishing. Plus the picture posted river looks very muddy and in flood = no fish.

Salmon, eels, and stone loach in the Linney. There was a "fish ladder" in Malvern but it has recently been removed.

I thought the same when I flicked through the pictures, but on the floorplan there’s only one loo and bathroom in the house. Not great for that many bedrooms.

...and it appears to be an outside loo!

There's a second loo in the bathroom.
By total chance, I went past this house today. Only had the briefest of looks but the surroundings are lovely - and, having stood next to a weir a bit further downstream, there's plenty of fish in that river, the water was beautifully clear. It'll make a lovely home for someone but the work required will scare a lot of people off. Now advertised at £625k.

Just realised there is lots of land. Can't stretch that far unfortunately.

It’s been around a while, and reduced beginning of May, maybe has issues, or just overpriced for the location

They could do with having the photos re-done on a sunny day. Taking them on an overcast day and then photoshopping in blue skies and ramping up the brightness to compensate always jars
