I am about to re-open the orignal back door to my victorian terrace which has been blocked for years. This means bricking up the 1960's back door in the 9" solid wall. The hooligan who put it in, put the sill 20cm below the stone flags inside and flush with the concrete outside. What is the best method of constructing the block-off to ensure no damp penetration.
