We've just spent some money on something that is by no means essential, nor is the chosen design appropriate to the age of the house: we have replaced two old and scruffy opaque glass panels in a bedroom door with some new coloured leaded glass in a contemporary original design. This (original, 1860s?) 4-panel pine door was obviously modified with the old glass panels in order to give light onto the staircase, which otherwise gets no natural light. The staircase wall is done with a yellow clay paint. The design pleases t'other half, which is the point, and we had fun looking round the workshop when we collected them. See http://houseintheenchantedforest.blogspot.com/ for a new entry with pictures.
I now have two panes of 4mm opaque glass, grooved on one side and wavy on the other, for sale or exchange, about 87 x 28 cm from memory.
