Gaps In Stair Treads

Post by pj38 » Sat 17th Jul, 2021 10:14 am

Hi Everyone

I’m still in the process of finishing off my stairs and hallway.

Where I have gaps on the treads and risers ( not very big at all )

What would you recommend to fill them - I’m going to have a carpet runner. The side’s haven’t been exposed for many years .
I normally use a caulk but I wondered if there was a product someone could recommend or link for me ?

Thanks Pete

I used two component filler and then flexible painters caulk.

We opted to paint the stairs and then carpet sections on the treads but seems to be holding up okay.
