Grade2Listed

.....Hello all.
I am after some advice, we own a grade II listed home in devon. We are hoping to split our home into two dwellings and wondered who has had any experience of this.
What we have is a two storey 3 bed (c.1800s) with cellar which sprawls into a single story addition to the rear of the property (this contains a hallway, bathroom, kitchen and shed/utility). What we propose would require relatively little alteration as we would only need to block up one internal wall which connects the main house to the single storey building and relocate the kitchen to our dining room and provide a door to the garden from the new kitchen which would also remove a hideous 80s conservatory.
The house currently has no parking and access to both properties would be through a shared garden area (same as adjacent properties). This proposal would then contain the house to what would be its original state and provde an additional 1/2 bed single storey cottage to the rear.
We are Grade II listed and in a conservation area.
Any comments would be greatly appreciated!!
Regards
Rob
