Damp, tried everything, what now?

Just to let you all know, we are having a very wet spell again, and the walls are dry!! Much warmer too. Very happy. Thanks again Middi for your step-by-step instructions, which gave me the courage to do it!!

It was a pleasure to be of assistance in some way.

All credit goes to you, Zebra. whilst this approach is ( more or less) fool proof to eradicate base wall damp, it is not for the faint hearted and as you may have well found out it requires a very tedious, slow and methodical approach but very satisfying and peace of mind in the end.
Also very expensive if labour has to be paid.
