I'e got a flat-roofed porch, 6' x 4', external door to outside and internal door to hall. Right hand wall is external wall of house, 2' thick stone. This wall was plasterboard lined but due a leak in roof was very damp, and timber studs had rotted. Plasterboard and studs all removed back to bare stone. LH wall is block, rendered on outside, lined with plasterboard on inside. Ceiling is plasterboard lined. Roof leak is now fixed. The remaining plasterboard is papered with wood chip. There is no heating in the porch. Question is, what do you suggest for replacing the lining on the RH wall (currently bare stone)? Would I be better to do the same for LH wall ? And the ceiling ? My idea (for starters) is exterior ply sheet on treated timber studs, then paint with textured masonary paint.
