We have a couple of old pamment floors which the previous owner of the house apparently used to clean with "traffic wax".
Since we have been here, we've just used used modern detergent and water which is fine for cleaning but the surface is now a lot more dull than it was.
We don't want a high-gloss finish but a bit more sheen would be good and looking back through old posts on this forum I've found Savon Noir has been suggested a lot in the past but doesn't appear to have been mentioned much in recent years. I was considering trying some until I found a review on Amazon that said it has the smell of cat pee! And that is a smell that I really do not want! I have also found a lavender scented savon noir which I could try, or maybe I should use traffic wax? The reason I'm hesitant about traffic wax is that virtually everything the previous owner told us about this house has turned out to be lies, so I've no idea if that is really what she used or not.
The floor is traditional old 9" brick pamments, not the harder quarry tiles. What do others use please?
