My slate flagstone kitchen floor is really mucky and powdery. I'm having my 2nd baby in 4 weeks time and have been rather decadent and hired some cleaners for 1 day to blitz the house! I've asked them to scrub the kitchen floor - using Ecover floor soap which contains linseed oil. I would really like to put some sort of seal on the floor to make life a bit easier when I have two small people crawling on it. The floor is uneven and is laid onto bare earth.
Any suggestions? Do I avoid normal sealants due to bare earth and damp issue and go for rubbing in pure linseed oil or the like??
Time is of the essence!!! Please let me know what I can use!
Many thanks
Rachel
