Hi I am renovating an old timber framed cottage. The downstairs lounge ceiling has been plasterboarded over. I have removed a small area and the original beams and lathe and plaster are in reasonable condition although will need some repairs to plaster.
The property is not listed due to “modernisation” in the 60’s so listed consent is not needed. Do I need any other consent eg building regs as I will be exposing the old timber joists.
I presumed not as this was the original ceiling but would appreciate advice.
Kind regards
