Can anyone help with dating this old door. The stained glass insert is an unfortunate 1960s addition. It’s made from three planks, each 11 inches wide and about 5/8ths thick. The middle plank overlaps the other two by 1/2 inch making the door 32 inches wide. We were told it was once the front door and was moved when alterations were made in the 1960s. The house appears on a 1775 map so the door could be almost any age. First two pictures are from what would have been outside. The rest from inside.
I am undecided what to do with it. I might have the paint/stain removed by dry ice blasting to see if it’s worth preserving, or I might salvage the hinges and fit them to a new Draught proof wooden door. What do others think?
