Limestone Masonry Cream

The house has single/solid wall made of limestone which are getting some penetrating damp - now whilst I wait to get the professionals in to repoint & reseal, is there a good masonry cream which works for limestone I can use as a temporary measure in the coming weeks of wet weather? StormDry specifically says it doesn't work with limestone, Soverign WeatherChek says it works on some websites but there's not much technical detail on it...

Anyone had experience with limestone and masonry creams they could suggest? Floorboards are getting wet internally so would like to find a temporary solution before i can get the big guns in.

I'd give Limebase a call. They would advise you on whether a shelter coat might help, although the majority of moisture usually comes through the joints on masonry. Is the stonework Blue lias?

Do not apply a sealant. This is largely irreversible and a terrible thing to do. Work out where moisture is coming in, and solve the problem at source.

Yes definitely! It's the pointing for sure but going to be a few weeks before I can get tradies in and looks very wet weather so wanting an interim protection for it if you know of one?

Sealant is not interim. It’s a permanent disaster. Pointing is unlikely to be the issue, it will only be 15/20mm deep. The mortar bed should also be very fine for stonework, assuming well dressed. I doubt the moisture ingress is between the stones. How thick is the wall?

Some other info/photos of the issue, circumstances where it occurs and details of broader surrounding areas would help with a diagnosis.
