Having removed the door frames to put new ones in, I have found that above the entrance to the pantry, the beam has rotted slightly, the uprights which go up from the beam have rotted a lot.
The hole is packed with concrete.
It is no longer an outside wall, some of the concrete was loose so I have removed it, along with a lot fo small timber debris and sawdust.
My options are,
1. Remove rest of concrete and pack with lime mortar.
2. Fill holes I have now with lime mortar and leave rest of concrete in situ
3. I don't know what else, up to you lot to suggest!
I have put up a picture Here
Look at it at the sme time as the kling strip picture, as the beam in question is across the doorway you can see open.
The picture is taken from directly underneath, looking upwards.
