my windows are sg anyway so i wouldnt really be too concerned about BC un less they caught me in the act red handed , all i am really doing is changing the frames. or even repairing them , with bits of wood.
ive been told to check out slimlite which i will do but it doesnt sound cheap.

English Heritage have asked for details of all the inhabitants of the property since it was built. The Census is online, have a look at your house if you haven't done so! Fascinating. I'm absolutely thrilled that at least three ladies lived here for most of their lives until their nineties. Charlotte was born in 1855 and passed it on in 1951. No wonder I can almost feel her, and can't get rid of her stuff. I had really worried that Beacon Cottage might be the sort of place to finish people off as the last chateleine died so soon into the project, but this is cheering news indeed. Never mind if it's listed or not. If I can get to 96 I'll finish it!

What if one carefully removed the inner pane of the aluminium glazing, so it was aluminium single glazing

Although this is not universally the case, the great majority of double glazing uses sealed glazing units. The two panes of glass are sealed with polyisobutylene on to each side of an insulated spacer, sometimes with an inert gas in between the two panes.

So removing the inner pane is well nigh impossible.

I see lots of online detail for the 1901 census and before (which you have to pay for) but nothing post 1901. I must be missing something obvious surely? Or is it protected information for 100 years?
