Best Breathable Liner Paper

Hi.

Looking for the best liner paper and paste combo to apply over lime plaster walls. Really want to get it right to allow the best breathability. Any advice/ experience recommendations greatly appreciated -

I had the same question in my head a few months ago when I started wallpapering over my lime plaster walls. Unfortunately I didn’t ask on here (I should have), and I ended up using Anaglypta Grade 1200 lining paper. Not sure if I made the right decision, but from what I remember it should be breathable

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve also had Wallrock Fibre lining recommended so will
have to compare the two.

In terms of paste, a few sites recommend products from eartborn/volvox and aura. Any experience with these?

The wallrock has a lot of synthetic fibres in it which may not appeal, but does not shrink at the seams or rip easily (which may appeal). It's also a 'paste the wall' product so generally easier to hang

I had a look at more “breathable” wallpaper paste like Earthborn, and considered a few others. In the end I think I caused myself Analysis Paralysis and gave up. Some other folks on here may have experience on here with them though . I’ve been using Volden readymade paste from B&Q I guess time will tell what happens!

I couldn’t justify the cost of Earthborn (I possibly would have done if I had more confidence in the strength of the existing plaster).
