Hello! Love this forum, so it’s time to ask a question.
In the process of buying a grade two listed house.
At some point the front elevation has had a wooden archway added over the door - there was never any consent for this to be added.
It was drawn on plans of the house next time LBC was applied for. This was over 30 years ago.
Over time it became rotten and unsafe so has been removed. This was done without LBC. To be fair the house looks much much better without it and I’d have removed it anyways.
The council have been asked by the sellers if this is an issue and conveyancers are awaiting a response.
What’s likely to happen here? Any indication of how long it takes to resolve this sort of thing.
I hope it’s simple and I’m worrying about nothing. Sadly I’m a very anxious person hence looking for some reassurance. Be kind
Thanks!
