The best you could say is that it might cause an oven to become clean, if it was dirty, which mine isn't.

Many years ago after listening to Mrs DJH all year saying how much she liked this particular deep fat fryer I bought it, (all by myself!) wrapped it up and presented it on Christmas morning. 8) She was so pleased with it that she kept it in it's box in a cupboard for over twenty years and never used it. :?

I lost track of it when we moved house, mind you I lost track of a lot of my things about that time 8) 8)

If you can't see the lamp alight with the oven door open then it is time to buy another oven.

I do most of the cooking but I don't have the guilt trip that my wife suffers every time she opens the oven door.
In the past I have cleaned the oven after long and detailed discussions about buying a new one.
However the bright sparkly oven (protected previously by thick layers of black stuff) depressed me because my enthusiasm and argument for a complete replacement of our cooker was undermined.
I want an induction hob most of all.
My compromise suggestion was an additional induction hob fitted next to where we already have the cooker but my wife will not accept this.
I think it would be the best of both worlds, my wife wants a more conventional solution.
She wants it all replaced.

I been hearing that joke a few times recently Barclays seem to have some real back office problems and we've had a few delays. I can however recommend Hutton and Rostron for their pre-purchase damp survey, they took cores from the wall and have given lots of advice (looks sensible to me as well but who can tell until we've done the work) with plenty of photos. Our buyer has had a survey from one of the big damp proof companies it's laughable in comparison
