Whenever traditional paints like casein distemper are mentioned on here, the general responses point to specialist/niche suppliers like Ingleby or Rose of Jericho.
No objection to that at all.
But, mainstream suppliers like F&B make a casein distemper too. And, they seem to suggest they haven't monkeyed about with it - except, I guess, modern colourants.
So, is this stuff casein distemper and as fit for purpose as the "specialist" stuff, or is it modern plastic paint with a dash of milk stirred in?
